Report: Lukashenko orders govt to improve cooperation with Russia

MINSK, Aug 10 (PRIME) -- Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has ordered the government to boost cooperation with Russia and eliminate barriers for the flow of goods, Belarusian state news agency BelTA reported late on Tuesday.

“Following the session (of the council of ministers), Alexander Lukashenko issued orders in several directions. Basing on the discussions held at the session, the head of the state ordered strengthening of cooperation with the Russian Federation,” BelTA reported.

“We need to eliminate all the barriers with the Russian partners for the goods limited for entry to the territory of Russia. This is a topic that I should discuss as well,” Lukashenko said, as quoted by the news agency.

He also ordered the government to work on building unified Belarusian machine-building centers with servicing functions in large Russian regional centers.
